SPUTNIK RockIt vom 07.03.2024: Blind Channel
"Wir sind Blind Channel, die Backstreet Boys der Metalszene" – das sagt die sechsköpfige Band aus Finnland gerne über sich. 2021 vertraten sie ihr Land beim Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam und erreichten Platz 6, was ihnen natürlich zu großer Aufmerksamkeit verhalf. Mittlerweile gelten sie als Exportschlager. Ihre neue Platte heißt "Exit Emotions" und die kann sich hören lassen. Hier trifft Nu-Metal auf Rock mit ein wenig Hip-Hop. Die Hooks sind recht poppig gehalten und an manchen Stellen schleichen sich sogar EDM Elemente ein, was den Sound von Blind Channel super modern klingen lässt. Live könnt ihr die Band aus Finnland übrigens am 24.03. im Felsenkeller in Leipzig sehen.
